2021 Ontario Discovery Challenge, Wellspring Ride for Cancer Support

If you are longing for adventure and looking for a unique challenge while making a difference in the lives of others, then the Wellspring Ride for Cancer Support is for you. Teams of cyclists ride together in pelotons (teams), for 4 days to complete a 120 km journey from Toronto, Ontario to Blue Mountain Village, Ontario.

Held annually since 2012, the Wellspring Ride for Cancer Support has raised more than $3.4 million – funds which have provided life-enhancing programs and services for cancer patients, their family members and those who care for them. Every year the Wellspring Ride for Cancer Support serves up a new adventure destination. Previous destinations have included Austin, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana, Miami, Florida; Las Vegas, Nevada; and San Antonio, Texas.

This is not another group charity cycling event. Instead, it is an epic adventure and a unique cycling challenge.

Key Facts

About the Ontario Discovery Challenge - Ontario Toronto to Blue Mountain Village How does it work:

Each peloton team rides for six hours, covering a distance of approximately 120km, maintaining a speed of at least 28km/h. At the end of their four day journey, the cyclists are greeted in Blue Mountain Village by Wellspring Champions - people who are currently living with cancer who serve as the inspiration and motivation for our cyclists along the journey. Together the cyclists, the volunteers, the champions and the cyclists' family members come together to celebrate the success of the ride and honour those who have been, and will be impacted by cancer.
