A Wellspring Peloton Success News Story Continues to Support and Give Back
It is a pleasure to acknowledge the Wellspring Team for their work before and during COVID. As a member at Wellspring, I am grateful for the health that I have regained. Words sometimes cannot express the joy, a new and improved me. I have a great deal to be appreciative of Wellspring including our team(s) especially, the Fitness Team, Management & Support Teams at Wellspring. However, we always need to be cautious especially when cancer is involved. I am not sure you ever really get rid of it in your corp.
Before COVID, a personal journey took a positive turn when I became a Wellspring Cancer Charity Fundraiser & Spokesperson. One aspect Wellspring provided me with was a special workout as a cancer patient. At the time, with the experts at Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre, namely surgery, I practiced the new program with the Wellspring approach, I improved my health to full recovery. Using this routine or physical fitness, vegetarian mostly organic eating, & yoga, regularly enabled me to achieve my optimal health goals and more. My goal is to fundraise, but inspiring & improving healing makes the world a better place. As well to take the opportunity to thank every member at Wellspring. If I was to share just one point it would be to have all to set up time with their fitness coach or on their own, in my example, Wellspring Fitness to achieve personal fitness/health goals. As it feels to reach the top of a hill on a climb, an additional benefit from completing a new regime before & after every major surgery improved recovery. The Wellspring Team encouraged all to attend classes and continue with their program for optimal health & ameliorate recovery.
Those who know me, have been aware of my personal cancer journey. It is life with cancer, normal life living with cancer and now I can say ‘surviving cancer!’ Along my journey, remembering friends and family who were not as fortunate is significant. The loss of my father Robert Douglas Brechin, in 2019 to cancer surrounded me with sadness. Despite the loss in 2019, it is amazing that with our helpful Wellspring staff enhancing my training, I completed the Wellspring Peloton for Cancer Charity in 2019, where I was also supported by many including Family & Friends on the cycle to San Antonio, Texas.
This year the Wellspring Peloton Team plans to cycle modified due to Covid in Collingwood, Ontario. The fundraising event will help fund cancer support programs and services that Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation provides free of charge, to individuals and families living with cancer. I continue to feel the excellent support from out team of Wellspring experts and I’m glad for their caring yet fitness-oriented core values. I can tell you that the Wellspring Team is an amazing team, not to mention how they are helping Sunnybrook Hospital during the Covid Pandemic. This year can be great despite Covid and we all can achieve the goals we wish to achieve. Mine will be cycling as part of a peloton of riders traveling in Collingwood for the Celebration & prior to Uxbridge, Port Perry & Coburg and fundraising for those who are fighting for their lives.
Thanks again to you and to the Wellspring Team for your positivity.
